Dr. Noel Clarence White


Dr. Noel Clarence White
Dr. White is a geologist with more than 40 years of experience in mineral exploration, operations and project generation worldwide. He was the Chief Geologist for former BHP, and has worked over 350 ore deposits/mines in 47 countries, including China where the first foreign joint venture in its mining industry was built up by BHP. Dr. White was a consultant to the World Bank Group on their evaluation of Asian mineral potential.

Dr. White has a strong involvement with professional societies and universities worldwide, such as serving as an International Exchange Lecturer in 1999 and Executive Vice President of Regional Affairs from 2003 to 2005 for the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. Further, he has authored and co-authored various publications from 1972 to present. Dr. White received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Newcastle and his PhD from the University of Tasmania.

Dr. Kaihui Yang


Dr. Kaihui Yang
Dr. Yang has over 22 years experience as a geologist working on a variety of ore deposits in China and Canada. He was employed by the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources (now the Ministry of Land and Resources) for 10 years. From early 1990s to 2002, he was a consultant to several Canadian major mining companies and the World Bank Group working on their projects in China. He has in-depth relationships and networks with Chinese mining industry and governmental agencies and has been instrumental in identifying a number of high-quality projects and partners, setting up joint-ventures and has operated exploration projects smoothly.

Dr. Yang obtained his PhD in geology from China University of Geoscience, Beijing, in 1990, and was awarded in 1993 with a postdoctoral fellowship from the Canadian Federal Government working at the University of Toronto, where he has published a number of papers on ore deposits in international journals including Nature.
